The C. William Gilchrist Gallery & Museum invited the community to celebrate art, creativity, and western-inspired fun at the 18th Annual Gilchrist Gala, "Boots, Brims & Bubbly," took place on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
This year’s gala embraced a western theme and promises an unforgettable evening featuring artwork by regional artists, live music by Hot Sauce Willy, delicious food and beverages, exciting entertainment, and more surprises that led to a beautiful evening. Proceeds from the event support the Gilchrist’s mission to foster arts and culture throughout the region.
In addition to the evening festivities, the Gilchrist was excited to introduce the Artist Showdown,
a live painting competition that will take place during the gala.
Selected artists will had 90 minutes to create a finished piece before a
live audience, with works judged for cash prizes.
The competition awarded:
- First Place: $500 - Logan Hartlaub
- People’s Choice Award: $100 - Denis Sullivan
